What is Low-E glass?
Low-E or low-emissivity glass is glass that has either a metallic or ceramic coating on it that allows it to reflect energy and let light pass through. As a result, you can reduce the amount of heat that is lost through your windows during the cold winter months. Windows that have been specially treated with Low-E glass are becoming more and more popular among today’s energy-saving, conscious consumers.
What are the benefits of argon gas in your windows?
One of the noble gases, argon gas is often used in thermal pane windows to increase energy efficiency. Argon windows can help you keep heat inside your home or business, much like Low-E glass does.
Do frameless glass shower enclosures ever leak?
While frameless glass shower enclosures possess many great aesthetic and functionality qualities, they can leak much like any other type of shower if not properly installed or maintained.
What are the differences between tempered and laminated glass?
Laminated and tempered glass are both used for safety glass applications. Laminated glass involves two panes of glass and is typically used for automobile windshields, skylights and commercial doors. Tempered glass is typically used in tabletops, patio doors and shower panels. We also offer many custom cut glass applications at Owen Sound Glass Service.
